Classics Department - what's new
Classics Day 2007 Along with 150 other students, BCD's Latin students in Grades 8-11 participated in the Pioneer Valley Classical Association's Classics Day, Friday, January 26, at Mount Holyoke College. After attending workshops (run by graduate students in the U. Mass. Classics Department) and visiting the classical collection in the Mt. Holyoke College Art Museum, our students entered many of the contests with the following results:
Mythology Certamen
1st place: BCD team: Theo Friedman, Ben Paley, Toby Patel, Emily Tobin
3rd place: BCD team: Jamila Benkhoud, Ian Carlow, Patrick Hennessey, Tom Meyer
Advanced Latin Certamen
1st place: BCD team: Alexa Green, Ben Grossman-Ponemon, Rosie Taylor, Ben Tobin
Oral Interpretation Contests
Novice: 1st Anashya Srinivasan

3rd Jordan Gittzus
