Letter from Amy Broberg, Director of Admission
Greetings from Berkshire Country Day School!
I would like to thank you for your interest in Berkshire Country Day School. BCD has been providing students in Berkshire and Columbia Counties with an academically vigorous and well-rounded independent school education since 1946. Today, BCD holds true to its mission to encourage academic excellence at the highest level, advance each student's unique potential for well-rounded development, and foster responsive and responsible citizenship.
The BCD journey starts in Preschool with a Beginner Threes program and culminates in Grade 9. It is a journey that brings together students, parents, and teachers in the process of learning through inquiry and discovery. At the heart of a BCD education is a caring and nurturing community that is committed to seeing your whole child succeed.
We encourage you to find out for yourself what an independent school and BCD is all about. Our administrators and faculty welcome the opportunity to show you our campus and talk with you about our academic curriculum, extra and co- curricular activities, service learning projects, travel opportunities, arts offerings, and enrichment programs.
All great journeys start with a first step. Please look explore our web site and call me to arrange a time to have a guided tour as well as a conversation with Head of School, Paul Lindenmaier.
Once we have received your application materials, I would like to invite your child to spend the day with us to experience, first hand, a day in the life of a BCD student.
I look forward to getting to know you and your family better on your educational journey.
Sincerely,
Amy Broberg
Director of Admission
