Approximately 300 students attend BCD, and reside in Berkshire, Columbia, Hampshire, and Rensselaer Counties.

BCD seeks to foster a community of eager young minds ready to participate fully in their education and growth. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic commitment, extracurricular interests, and a desire to contribute to the school community. In keeping with BCD's goal of attracting a diverse and stimulating student community, about a third of the students receive need-based financial aid.

BCD students are exposed to a unique and vibrant learning experience that offers new opportunities, provides an outstanding education, develops character, and creates lifelong adult and peer relationships. Students remark year after year that the school has had a lasting and powerful impact on their lives, and have stated that it is wonderful preparation for encountering the world ahead.
