Libraries
Berkshire Country Day School has two libraries for student use Brook Farm (for preschool-grade 8) and Winthrop (for grades 9 - 12). Both libraries have collections of fiction and nonfiction, as well as reference books, CD-ROMs, and computer resources.
Serving grades preschool - 8, the Brook Farm Library provides access to more than 5,200 books, 20 magazines, 200 videos, 50 audiobooks, 25 CD-ROMs, and 3 online databases. Materials may be borrowed for a two-week period and may be renewed for an additional two weeks. Students have regularly scheduled Library classes and may visit the Library during study halls, lunch, and other free periods.
Serving grades 9-12, the Winthrop Library provides access to reference sources and periodicals, both in print and online. The Library is supplemented by interlibrary loan access to an extensive collection of materials made available through the Western Massachusetts Regional Library System. Students are free to visit the Library during study halls, lunch, and free periods.
