If you would like to make a pledge to the Annual Fund now, please click here or send your pledge directly to the Development Office at the above address. Your pledge will be booked upon receipt and you will receive an acknowledgement from the school. All pledges must be paid by June 30 to be credited in the current Annual Fund campaign.
Donors wishing to make gifts of appreciated stock incur a "triple-win" scenario:
- A charitable income tax deduction based on the full fair market value of the donated asset
- Avoidance of capital gains tax exposure on the appreciated value of the stock
- A meaningful gift to BCD that costs less than cash
Please follow these simple instructions for making a gift of securities to BCD:
Donors should prepare a letter or contact their broker to authorize the transfer of shares of a specific stock. You should designate the school as the beneficiary of those shares, stating that it is a gift.
Your brokerage house or bank should then electronically transfer the shares into BCD's account. You should include Berkshire Country Day School's Vanguard Brokerage Service (VBS) account number: 40V131732 and VBS's Depository Trust Company (DTC) number: 0443. Signatures on letters should be guaranteed.

Your broker should also notify BCD of your gift so that we can provide the necessary tax donation receipt.
Many corporations offer matching gift programs to their employees and their families. Matching gift support often doubles or triples an individual's gift, and all matching support is credited to your class.
Please obtain a matching gift form from your company's personnel office, complete the necessary information, and mail it to BCD with your gift. We will then certify the receipt of the gift and return the form to your company.
Each year BCD receives many gifts in memory of alumni, students, faculty, and parents. When memorial gifts are received, the Development Office notifies the next of kin and credits the gift appropriately.
